Full On At Nomads Silom Soi 4 July 15, 2010

This week Nomads have put on a musical menu that is second to none on the Bangkok scene at the moment. In case you are not sure of the location, Nomads is strategically located all the way at the end of Silom Soi 4, on the right hand side. Thursday nights the blues hit Bangkok as Soi Dog hold down their weekly slot. This Friday, and every Friday for the rest of July the bar is proud to have Kaleidoscope rocking Soi 4. These guys barely need an introduction as they have been rocking the local scene for decades with more or less the same line up. Led Zep, Van Halen, Stones, and even a little Rod Stewart with everything else in between is delivered flawlessly. Not to be missed.
Saturday this week they have “The Western Band” a group of multi-instrumentalists that play the kind of music you want to bring the girlfriend or missus out to and get your brownie points. Make no mistake, the guys are killer musicians and the playlist is just more mainstream. And just when you thought it could get no better, there’s Big Rick warming things up with his unique brand of “acoustic soul” from 8.00pm onwards.
Sundays the traditional jam continues with Nicolai hosting and supported by the Nomads Jam Band. Simon “The Fugitive”, “Steady” Jonathan and Nueng “Mr. Blues Jr” round out the team. Grab your instrument and come down for a session. Keep in mind – Happy Hour Prices ALL NIGHT.
** Next Saturday, July 24th, the truly awesome Eugene “Hideaway” Bridges hits thestage at 10.00pm backed by Soi Dog Blues Band. There will be a small entry of 300Baht which includes your first drink. See you there.
