Just a quick and simple jungle vine column this week as this is Mother’s Day weekend in Thailand. Since Mother’s Day is actually the Queen of Thailand’s birthday, I would say Thailand take Mother’s Day much more seriously here than the USA.

The ants in my house have moved into my camera. Yes, that’s right! I had left my Olympus E-20 camera alone for only two days and when I picked up the camera on Monday, I was surprised to find ants crawling under the glass in the menu display. This cannot be good. We tried shaking them out, luring them out, smoking them out. I was tempted to try drowning them out.

Last Saturday was an end of The Associates/Innuendoes as they gave their final performance at Noriega’s to a full house. Joel Anderson, a key founder of the band, is heading back to the UK and the band has elected to break up.
